SCIENCE, FAITH AND REASONING – MYTH OR REALITY (1)?

“Nay, here are SIGNS self-evident in the HEARTS of those endowed with KNOWLEDGE: and none but the UNJUST reject our signs” – Quran 29:49.
The above verse is an instinct as the main cursor of vision. It is the indicator of where today’s ship will anchor tomorrow. A man without instinct can be likened to a blind bull struggling to pass through the hole of a needle. Without instinct there can be neither projection nor premonition. All visionary prophesies are based on instinct.

The creation of the universe is explained by Astrophysicists in a widely accepted phenomenon of ‘Big Bang’. It is supported by observational and experimental data gathered by scientists for decades. The Holy Quran contains the stated verse regarding the origin of the universe:

“Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before We clove them asunder?” – Quran 21:30.
Again, scientists say that before the galaxies in the universe were formed, celestial matter was initially in the form of gaseous matter. The following Quranic verse refers to this state of the universe:

“Then He turned to the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: ‘Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly’ They said: ‘We do come (together) in willing obedience’” – Quran 41:11.
Again, scientists have proved that the earth is spherical. Consider the following Quranic verse:
“Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and He merges Day into Night” – Quran 31:29.
Also, the following verse alludes to the spherical shape of the earth:

“He created the heavens and the earth in true proportions. He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night” – Quran 39:5.
Furthermore, scientists now tell us that the light of the moon is reflected light while sun is the original source of light. Consider the following verses:
“Blessed is He who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a lamp and a moon giving light” – Quran 25:61.

And, “See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another. And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (glorious) lamp?” – Quran71:15-16.

Finally, in 1512, Copernicus put forward his Heliocentric Theory of Planetary Motion which asserted that the sun is motionless at the centre of the solar system with the planets revolving around it. In 1609, Kepler published the ‘Astronomia Nova’ which concluded that not only do the planets move in elliptical orbits around the sun, they also rotate upon their axes at irregular speeds. Consider the following Quranic verse:
“It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon: All (celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course” – Quran 21:33.

Similarly, “It is not permitted to the sun to catch up the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day: Each (just) swim along in (its own) orbits (According to Law)” – Quran 36:40.
One cannot help but be amazed at the SCIENTIFIC ACCURACY of the Quranic verses. Should we not ponder over the question:

“Do THEY (Scientists, Agnostics, Atheists…. etc) not consider the Quran (with care)? Had it been from other than Allah, THEY would surely have found therein much discrepancy”  - Quran 4:82.
