GOD DOES NOT SPEAK: ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE

In Islam, Almighty Allah is considered as a Supreme Being, Incomparable (who cannot be subjected to Characteristics of Living/Non-Living things), Omnipotent, All-Knowing, All Wise (who will never regret over His creation), Eternal and Absolute (who does not Sleep). That is why it is repeated in several places in Glorious Quran of His 99 Attributes. For instance, In Suratul Zumar (39:62) says “Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs. 

This shows that Almighty Allah in His Majesty can not be Heard neither can any vision comprehend Him. He created ANGELS from LIGHT, JINNS (all forms of spirit) from FIRE and HUMAN from CLAY. Angels (of various kinds) serve the purpose of conveying the authority of Allah to His messengers and prophets from Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammed (peace be upon them) to mankind since He is the one that sent all of them with Islam to guide humanity to Him. It is on this note that Muslims universally believe that Allah sent Angel Jubril (Gabriel) to Prophet Muhammed (SAW) to reveal the Glorious Quran to humanity as a guide to Allah. However, Hadiths are the saying and deeds of the Prophet (SAW) which is only secondary to the Glorious Quran.

Apart from Angel Jubril who is responsible for conveying messages of Almighty Allah, we have angels Mikail, Israfil, Munkar and Nakir, Azarail and many more with specific roles mentioned in the Quran and Hadiths. For instance, MALAKUL MAOTI is an angel of death called (“Asarailu” in Yoruba and “Azrail” in Arabic) who is responsible for taking the soul of human being according to the appointed time -  “Qadr”  (meaning destiny). So, muslims attribute every activities of nature to specific responsibilities of Angels in accordance with the Holy Quran.

Moreover, the Glorious Quran also recognized Abraham as “Kalilullah” (friend of Allah) because of His devotion in worship in the Sacred ka’abah in Mecca which Abraham built; Moses as “Kalimullah” (one Allah granted the respite to hear His voice) because when he got to “Tuwa” in Mount Sinai as explained in Quran (20:9-12), he received the commandment and prostrate to Allah in prayer; Jesus as “Ruhullah” (spirit with a command of “Be” from Allah) because he was born without male intervention and Prophet Muhammed as “Rasullulah” (universal messenger of Allah) because the Holy Quran is the Last Testament to humanity.

In conclusion, Jesus Christ also testified to the Majesty of Allah when he said in the Bible, John 5:37 that “And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. YE HAVE NEITHER HEARD HIS VOICE AT ANY TIME, NOR SEEN HIS SHAPE”hhh
